About
Alex was drawn to the counseling field because of how much of a need there is for services and because of how healing therapy can truly be. She feels that her role as a therapist is to walk with the client through their healing journey, gaining a sense of strength, empowerment, confidence, and hope. And also believe that therapy is good for everyone at various points in their life, not just because you feel that there is something wrong. A lot of her passion for this field has been with trauma, and so a lot of what she does is through a trauma lens.
When she’s not working, you can find her playing with family and running around outside. Knitting, reading, and writing have been wonderful hobbies for indoors. More recently woodworking has been added on as more of an outdoor activity.
Education
Alex graduated from Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota with a Masters degree in Counseling and Human Services. she is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, is nationally certified in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), and is also a Minnesota Board of Behavioral Health and Therapy (BBHT) approved supervisor.
